Chocolate Mousse Imbued with Pure CBD Oil

CBD is one of the most important wellness ingredients in many people’s lives. Fortunately, CBD oil and extracts are legal in the United States. CBD can easily be used in many different products like baked goods, drinks and tea. It is even being added to candles, shampoos and lotions. However, in our opinion, the best way to get your daily dose of CBD is via a few drops of pure oil. If taking the oil itself gets boring after a while, it can easily be added to a couple of delicious recipes like the Chocolate Mousse recipe we are outlining today.

The aftermentioned recipe uses pure CBD oil, that’s free from psychoactive THC. Each serving of Chocolate Mousse Imbued with Pure CBD Oil will contain 25g of carbohydrates, 5g of protein and be an average of 495kcal. Most of all, it is quick and easy to prepare so anyone can do it.

Ingredients

¼ cup of granulated sugar

6 ounces or a cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. You can also use dark chocolate, but the resultant mousse will not be as sweet.

1 pint or 2 cups of heavy whipping cream.

2 large size eggs

33mg of WELLEN Full Spectrum CBD Oil. You’ll need around 2 droppers of it for each serving.

Preparation Instructions

Take 2 large eggs, and add them to a large bowl. Then add that 1/4th cup of granulated sugar to the mix and beat on high until you see a thick and fluffy consistency. It should take around 4 minutes on average to reach the desired consistency.

Later in a medium saucepan, add a cup of heavy whipping cream and heat until it is around 135 degrees F, or hot to the touch. You don’t want it to be too hot because then it would scramble the eggs that should be added in the next step.

Keep the handheld beater on low, add some cream into whipped eggs. Make sure to go slow because if you add too much too soon, it can ruin the consistency because it may scramble the eggs. Going slowly will help to bring the temperature of the eggs up to the temperature of the cream, in small increments.

Later you can pour the combined mixture into the pot and heat over a stove on low heat. Make sure to stir until the mixture thickens, which should take around 8 minutes on average continuously. We recommend using a thermostat because that way, you can tell when the heat has reached 150 degrees F. You don’t want to heat the mixture past this temperature. What you’ll want to do is to lower the flame of the stove slightly once the temperature starts creeping up past 145 degrees. If the mixture does overheat for some reason, it can be run through a mesh strainer. You can use a tea strainer to remove the egg lumps. At this point because the eggs are cooked.

Remove the mixture from the heat and add a cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Again you’ll want to go slow and constantly keep mixing so that everything is well combined and smooth. Once the consistency is smooth and thick, it is time to refrigerate for 4 hours.

Take the mousse out of the refrigerator. Then in a bowl, add a cup of heavy whipped cream and beat until there are soft peaks. Then fold that cream into the chocolate mousse until it is combined.

The Chocolate Mousse is now ready and can be refrigerated until served.

How to Serve?

Pour 1/3 cup of your chocolate mousse into a cup. Then add 1-2 drops of WELLEN Pure CBD oil into it. You can also garnish with mint leaves, chocolate chips and raspberries.
